お月見は秋の代表的な行事で、「十五夜」とも呼ばれていますが、実際は９月15日前後の満月の夜にあたり、年によって日にちが異なります。
十五夜の月は「中秋の名月」とも呼ばれ、団子、ススキ、里芋などをお供えして月を眺めます。

Otsukimi is one of the most popular events in autumn, also called “Jugoya,” literally the 15th night. However, the actual date changes depending on the year since it falls on the day of a full moon night around September 15th.
The moon of this day is called “Choshu-no-Meigetsu”, literally mid-autumn moon. Rice dumplings, Japanese pampas grass, and taro are displayed as offerings when viewing the moon.
