Let’s get into it!
episode 7
It’s English time!
Starting today and everyday for the next 10-days I’ll be producing content about English expressions, culture, vocab, reading and much more so stay tuned and locked-in
For day 1
I would like to talk about a favorite English expression of mine
Fixin’ to
OK let’s repeat after me
Fixin’ to
“Fixin' to” is often pronounced as “Fixin' tuh” and means someone is about to do something. We might say things like: we are “fixin' to” go to the store, or I’m fixin’ to read a storybook or I’m fixin’ to cook supper. Or I’m fixin’ to listen to Step FM.
It’s a real handy expression that can easily be used in your everyday life and conversations. It shows you have a deeper understanding of American culture and much, much more.
So what are you fixin’ to do today?
I’m fixin’ to go to Costco and stay away from the heat.
I’m looking forward to helping people that are passionate about English.
If that’s you please give me a like and follow and I will help you on your English journey.
If you have listened this far give yourself a gold medal.
Thanks for joining and
Mahalo
