今日の英文
Today, I want to talk about how I feel that my distance from English sentences has started to become a little smaller.
Reading today’s message made me feel that this idea can be applied directly to learning English too.
Lately, I have started to feel that the way I see English sentences is slowly changing.
Before, just seeing a long passage in English could make me feel overwhelmed.
Sometimes I would feel tired before I even started reading.
But now, little by little, I feel that I can look at English sentences more calmly than before.
I still cannot read everything smoothly, of course.
But I do feel that I am less intimidated by English than I used to be.
Instead of chasing every single word desperately, I sometimes feel that I can see parts of a sentence in larger chunks.
That change feels quite important to me.
Of course, learning vocabulary and grammar matters a lot.
But I also think it matters how we feel when we face an English passage.
Do we feel pressured the moment we see it?
Or can we face it a little more calmly than before?
I think that feeling also shows our growth.
Right now, I am working hard on writing because I want to strengthen that feeling even more.
Writing is difficult, but when I try to create sentences myself, I become more aware of how English flows, how common patterns work, and how ideas connect.
And I think that changes the way I read too.
So for me, writing is not only practice for producing English.
It is also training that helps me become more familiar with English sentences.
In reading, I have already started to notice small signs of that change.
I am less overwhelmed by the amount of text than before, and sometimes I can read without clinging too tightly to every single word.
Of course, I still have a long way to go.
But I feel that these small changes may be signs that English is slowly becoming part of me.
Maybe the way our distance from English changes can also be one way to measure progress.
It is not only about how much knowledge we have.
It is also about whether we can face English more naturally than before.
I feel that our daily effort appears there too.
So I want to keep both reading and writing, and slowly bring English sentences closer to me.
